Hello

My name is Langer. I am the owner and instructor here at Trusted Firearms Training. My father was the first to teach me about firearms safety and I started shooting rifles at the age of five. ​As a teenager and young adult I studied martial arts, including Shotokan karate, Chin Na, and Tai Chi. I have been formally trained by members of the military, law enforcement officers, an instructor for SWAT teams, by a member of Denver and LAPD SWAT, an Army Ranger, and other firearms and tactics instructors from many other walks of life. 

 

In 1995 I was doing entertainment security in Nashville, TN for country artists, as well as venue security and personal protection (bodyguard) work. This culminated with me being in charge of the backstage security at the CMA Awards at the Grand Ol' Opry in 1995 and 1996.​

I started shooting pistols in 2008. In 2014 I was certified as an NRA Basic Pistol Instructor for the first time. I started teaching private lessons as well as concealed carry courses for Minnesota and Wisconsin. After twelve years I am certified as an NRA Basic Pistol instructor, including the Blended, Distance, and Instructor led only classes, Gun Safety Seminar, FIRST Steps Pistol Orientation, Pistol Marksmanship Simulator Training, and Women on Target Instructional Shooting Clinic; as well as also  being certified as an NRA Range Safety Officer, by the Massad Ayoob Group in Defensive Handgun, and in Church Safety by the USCCA. 

Currently I am the full time instructor at United Defense Tactical in Las Vegas, NV.
